Bruxelles - September 28, 2024, almost one year into genocide.
Estafette for Palestine was born from the urge to create viral information transmission about the energies and solidarities that mobilised on local scale in Brussels to act for Palestinian rights and dignity during the entire year and still.

To gather during a day, in different places.
To talk, tell stories, echoe voices.
To take a stand on the question 'What’s does it mean to be an artist in time of genocide ?'

First in Kriekelaar, to meet : around cooking, dabkeh workshop and making banners.
Banners to say : 'Free palestine in our lifetime'.
So that people can read it in the street while we march toward les Halles de Schaerbeek.
'Hands of Lebanon' that echoes place Lehon, and Dabkeh steps in front of les Halles right before getting in. Inside, differents spaces and times : talks, concerts, screenings, a solidarity market, poetry and a radio/live streaming.

Estafette Radio is a spontaneous radio, a use of radio as a political tool. It was set up in 10 days with the help of pl4teform, ergote radio, collective tuba, Sofia, Léa, Philippe, Najwa, Laure F, Éric, Adèle and Daya. A website was coded in a few days by Leo, Soumaya, Doriane and Maeva!

We held 7 hours of live streaming broadcast to archive and collect words and stories. In this 2 hours edition you can hear the voices of: Artist4palestine, Bader Shashit, Mouniversal, Halah El Mohor, Caddy for Palestine, Mohammed from Tamarod, UPB.

Estafette for Palestine is an event co-organized by Estafette for Palestine, Montage, Sal de Fête, Bâtard festival, Habemus Papam, Kaai theatre, De Kriekelaar, Tamarod, Caddy for Palestine and 50 others participating artists and collectives. It was hosted by Estafette at les Halles de Schaerbeek.
