Bimestrielle
CUNT RITES is a bi-monthly hybrid radio show that translates kinship into sound through the lens of feminist and queer narratives. Each one-hour episode reimagines a traditional rite of passage—birth, menstruation, marriage, and death—through archival recordings, experimental music, poetry, and personal testimony. Framed as a day’s ceremonial arc, each episode guides listeners on a layered sonic journey that transforms familiar ceremonies into spaces of care and defiance.
CUNT RITES is hosted by Shif—t*, a queer, transdisciplinary collective of artists based in Ghent (Belgium), exploring how creative practices can invite people and communities into shared experiences. We do this by imagining and building environments as forms of support rather than fixed structures, through a practice-based approach to care and knowledge sharing.
